A Letter from Our President

Hi y’all!

I would like to personally welcome you to the Alpha Psi chapter of Delta Gamma at the University of Mississippi! My hope is that through this website, you will be able to take a peek inside life at 89 Sorority Row.

From the time that I ran home on bid day I have felt a sense of belonging from all of the women in Delta Gamma. I believe that choosing Delta Gamma will always be one of the best decisions I have and will ever make because of the friendships and relationships that I have cultivated throughout my time.

It is hard to adequately describe a place that means so many things to me. To put it simply, Delta Gamma is filled with women that were once strangers but quickly became my best friends and sisters. There is not a day that goes by that I am not reminded of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord that placed me exactly where I needed to be. I am constantly surrounded by women that instill confidence in me to be the best version of myself and hold me accountable in all of the things I do. It is special to have friends on the good days, but even more meaningful to have those same people by your side when the days are hard. College is filled with the highest highs and lowest lows, but I can truly say I would not want to face any of these days without these women.

Delta Gamma was not only founded with the idea of friendship, but also with the mindset and motto to serve others and Do Good. Every time I hear the words Do Good, I am inspired to be a part of an organization that is bigger than one person or one idea. Here at Delta Gamma, we are all eager to serve those around us. I am proud to be a part of an organization that strives to uplift those around us by serving in whatever capacity it necessary.

My past three years at Ole Miss and Delta Gamma have been the answer to so many prayers, and I am grateful for every friend and every memory I have made along the way. I hope to always be a reflection of those who have loved me so well these past three years, and I know that this place and these people will be with me long after graduation. I am humbled and honored to serve these incredible women as chapter president. I will forever be indebted to the big white house.

With love ITB,

Julianna Barrack

“Being a Delta Gamma not only means to Do Good, but means I am surrounded by hundreds of women who put others above themselves. Living alongside women who strive to uplift, push you, and brighten your life is a blessing I don’t take for granted. I’m thankful for the ways the Lord continues to use Delta Gamma to grow my faith and encapsulate His service.”

“I don’t know how I lived without Mary Stevenson for so long! I will forever credit the Delta Gamma dining room for bringing us together freshman year. Because of this friendship DG established, I have had the most loved college experience. Delta Gamma truly creates friendships that will last a lifetime!”
